The Flojet/Jabsco 30573-0001A Accumulator Tank has a 1 Litre (0.26 US gallon) capacity for systems on the smaller size. Working water volume of about 0.65 litres (21.5 ounces). Will smooth flow from faucets, reducing pump cycling and eliminate pulsations and water hammer.
Can be mounted vertical or horizontal; even upside down. Includes both 1/2″ hose barb and 1/2″-14 pipe snap-in port fittings for water connection. Max 125 psi working pressure. Pressure set to 10 psi, but can be tuned to cut-in pressure of the system pump. 4.7? Diameter, 8.4? high.
NSF-18 listed for all water applications. Meets RVIA regulations.
Accumulator tanks hold a reservoir of air and water down stream from the pump. The air acts as a cushion, absorbing pump and pressure fluctuations, smoothing the flow and making the system quieter. Accumulators allow the pump to reach shut-off pressure more smoothly which reduces the on/off cycle which gives better control of hot water delivery (do not run hot water through tank). Flojet accumulator tanks all have a bladder that separates water from air. The bladder is pre-pressurized (10 psi) but may need fine tuning when installed to give the most efficient performance. One of the advantages of an accumulator tank is that they can dispense up to half of their capacity of water even when the pump is switched off. So the bigger the reservoir, the more water you have available without having to switch the pump on helping you wash your hands or clean your teeth without noise.
Typically not needed with VSD & certain other pumps.
